[Inkscape-user] buggy layers dialog

I had 2 layers, both visable then I renamed them both to something different than layer 1. layer 2. Then I clicked the hide/unhide when i was on the opposite of each layer and then the naming convention returned to Layer 1 and Layer 2

I am using the may 27 autopackage build on ubuntu breezy badger.
