Many of the developers read this list also. If you want to be involved in making this feature come to life you (by coding or even just with input) you are welcome to join the dev list and discuss it. IMHO the calligraphy tool is one of Inkscape's killer features, but it is sadly static. Bringing live adjustment to it will be truly fantastic. Please help us make it happen!
