Hmmm, looks like that IS the one I'm using. Mine is "Inkscape 0.45, built Feb 5 2007", february instead of March, but the latest exe for Windows. Maybe I should just wait for v.46 ... ^^ ? Thanks for your answer.!

What version of Inkscape are you using? I believe there was a problem like what you describe a while ago and it has been fixed. Could you try the lastest stable version from www.inkscape.org? Mine is Inkscape 0.45.1, built Mar 21 2007 and work great.
Hope it helps.

Hey people,
I'm trying to use the blur function, but it doesn't realy want to work. I either get way too much blur or no blur at all, but on both cases the slider stick on the zero value. Neither can I increment the counter-box at the rigth-hand side of the slider. I don't know if this matters, but I'm working on "pixel" scale (icons, 32 pixels width).
Has anybody noticed this problem before? Is there a work around? I tried manually editing the 'standard-deviation' value in the XML file, but nothing happened either.
I'm curious about the answer!
Maarten
