[Inkscape-user] Inkscape 48

I have Inkscape 47 installed on my Slackware Linux 13 system. Is Inkscape 48 stable? If so how do I download the source?

If it is not stable what is the address for the svn version of Inkscape? I update Scribus nightly so I might as well do the same for Inkscape.
