Carlos, OK, I can confirm that the "sand" does not appear in the exported pdf when it is created as a pattern from a group of sand particles. However, my first attempt to duplicate this was using "sand" created by stamping the same group. With stamping the sand is exported and appears in the pdf. This gives you a workaround for your problem but the problem still remains.
