Under Linux, programs use a common page description format called PostScript. To simply spit out a PostScript file to "print.ps", type "> print.ps" in the box and click Print.
Or, if you use KDE with cups then just type in "| kprinter" which means "pipe the output to kprinter" (the standard KDE printer interface). Your familiar printer dialog will popup from which you can choose your printer and settings.
