Hi,
I'm a newbie on Linux and I want to use only open-source software. Not only I switched from Win to Lin, but I want to give up on Corel Draw and start using Inkscape (which in my opinion is the best open-source replacement). Is it possible to import Corel Draw files? I know it's a proprietary format, I just hope some solution could be found. If not, what other format should I export from Corel in order to migrate my files to Inkscape?
There is no way to import .cdr files in Inkscape, but Corel Draw should be able (at least in the last versions) to export as SVG.
I tried it once, but with poor effects. Seems like a broken svg export in Corel Draw. I don't know the details of which version of Corel Draw it was.
