Hello! I've been loving inkscape for quite a while now, but snapping still makes me sad. The most recent nightly build of 0.43 makes me even more sad.
I find the "snap" tab of the document properties dialog box more unintuitive than before. Is there documentation some place that explains what all the options are? I understand snapping nodes, paths, bounding boxes, etc. but I'm confused by the notion of "sensitivity" -- what does 0.4 to 50 mean, and what si the difference between screen pixels and px units?
All I really want is a "never ever let me do anything off-grid unless I explicitly state it" option -- I.e. "behave like AI or a cad program".
Does anyone else have snap behavior opinions? I've made over 200 different technical digrams (for EE and FPGA work) thus far, and have finally reached the point of snapping :)
Thanks again, I'm so sorry to complain; I really love inkscape and I'm just puzzled why snapping always seems to receive so little love. :(
