Hi,
I have started writing a book on using Inkscape. It is in what I would
call pre-alpha stage. The structure and format will certainly change and
much is missing. Even so, it might be of use to someone. You can have a

Constructive comments are appreciated.
if I may add my 2 cents, I would recommend to change
Explanation of Vector Graphics vs. Bitmap or Raster Graphics
to
Explanation of Vector Graphics vs. Bitmap Graphics
because I personally find the term "Raster Graphics"
as synonymous for Bitmap Graphics somewhat misleading.
To me "Raster Graphics" are Bitmap Graphics rasterized
& with CYMK separation.

Just to add some confusion to the matter. I thought that bitmap is
technically a black and white image only. Literally a bit map; 0 or 1,
black or white (or more accurately, foreground or background). Then it
became the name for Microsoft's raster - uh, full colour - file format
with the .bmp extension.
