If you look at the Inkscape logo the right way, you can make out a happy salamander (some say a frog). I've always taken that to be the mascot. ;-)

Really? Thanks! :o I've always thought the logo to be a mountain with a blotch of ink! ... and now that I look at it, it looks like a mushroom. XD I'll take your word for it, thank you very much! :-)
