It might be worth noting that many such renderings are simple enough to do by hand with a little forethought. For example, the sides of the wrapped rectangle in the example used for the video are clipped sine waves, which can be generated using a Render extension in Inkscape. And you would probably have a lot less trouble than the maker of that video did regarding alignment of the individual pieces, and whatever set of ungrouping / breaking a path into components / removing clip masks that he had to do would not exist. -Arlo
