No, we've had too many issues with different Gtk builds to trust whatever happens to already be installed elsewhere. We try to ship with "known-good" ones (though obviously we failed this time).
Failed is a bit strong. A minor hiccup is how I would describe it:-) Do you know if it would be worth trying to delete the 2.4 directory and its offspring so as to force, temporarily only, Inkscape to use 2.6.7? It might be a way forward until the rebuild can be actioned.
I note that an old (2.4.0) version is installed under the Inkscape directory - is this the problematic version?
Not sure. I thought we were shipping with a particular build of 2.6.something on Windows, but I'm not directly involved with the Windows port.
I deduced 2.4 from the directory naming - I've no idea if it is truly 2.4.
