Inkscape doesn't print with transparency. Is it also a known bug, or is it a system problem (ubuntu Dapper)? Has anyone been able to print with transparency directly from Inkscape?

AFAIK, printing on Linux is Postscript-based and therefore cannot handle transparency unless you "flatten" it (which Inkscape does not do) or print as bitmap.
