[Inkscape-user] Applying current transform to path

Does anyone know a way to make the current transforms on a path apply themselves to the nodes? In other words I want the "transform" attribute of the path to be the identity matrix. (after first applying itself to the nodes in the path)

You can trick it to happen by Ctrl-K joining with another path, then splitting again but I was wondering if there was a more direct way.
