Inkscape is an SVG-based 2D illustration (and maybe, in the future, animation) package.
I've been using Inkscape for animation for quite some time already. I'm psyched about that whole "path morphing" thing, because that really (and I mean REALLY) expands my abilities in the department. However, I'd love to see some "bones" that could alter the paths composing a character... Does anyone know of any FREE software package that would do the trick of providing easy path-modification animation? I haven't had much luck finding much else, though Inkscape is better suited for such than what most give it credit for, especially since varying opacity on full objects is so easily tweakable (multiple frames can be referenced without any pain whatsoever).
[If anyone has any "non-Free" packages to recommend, I'd like to know about them, though I can't really promise I'll be able to follow up on each recommendation due to conflict of ideology. :) ]
