I suspect the only way is:
Clone your drawing.
Draw a rect to output size.
Place clones on rects to sim slices.
Clip each clone to each rect. (or vice versa) to create the slices.
Export ... unsure. Maybe select a rect. go into xml view. Copy paste?

Is there an easy way to chop up an svg, like with the guillotine
extension, but export to svg files, not png?
If a path object spans multiple sections, only the sub-paths within the
section should be included in the output.
