        Someone wrote:
'convert' does not work, 'scribus' does not work either. To be complete, I have to say that they work for simpe svg files, but not for those that use transparent objects on top of each other.
I just setup Inkscape of 7 May with two overlapping circles, one filled with red, the other with green.
Fill opacities 128 Stroke opacities 255 (black) master opacities 1.00
Then I used Primo to convert to pdfs. Results. Saved as svg file size 3 KB. Saved as pdf file size 231 KB.
Then I made both fills into linear gradients.
Saved as svg file size 4 KB. Saved as pdf file size 298 KB.
The pdfs retained flat colours and gradients and transparencies of originals.
