I'm trying to recreate a logo (http://users.telenet.be/sacn/logo.png) in vector format. I used the tracing tool for the center image, but for the circle and the surrounding text I started from scratch. But I can't get the text part right.
This is more or less what I did:
- Add an (invisible) circle as the baseline for the top text.
- Use the "Put on path" tool.
- Rotate the circle to the correct angle.
So far no problem. But when I repeat this for the bottom part of the text (and a copy of the circle), the direction of the text is shown in the wrong direction (clockwise like the text on top). I can get the orientation right by flipping the circle horizontally, but now the text is inside the circle. Is there a way to force the text outside of the circle. (Another possibility would be to have the upper text also inside the circle, but I think this is exactly the same problem.)

Put a vertical Kern on it till it lies below the line. Alt+down arrow to do pixel at a time, Shift+Alt+down arrow to do 10 pixels at a time.
Cheers
John
