This is a call to arms for all Inkscape artists to start working on some stunning examples of what's now possible in Inkscape. We will need them - the more the better - for screenshots, examples, tutorials, etc. etc.
I've recently started updating some of my old work abusing the clipping, masking, and blurring. :) I have a few pieces that haven't been used in screenshots before, so if it comes down to it, we do have some to fall back on.
Otherwise, I will begin some new stuff this weekend and will be able to show some things over the coming weeks. Anyone that's on deviantART... if you want to get an art piece for yourself (and obviously the project as well) from me, hit up my journal at http://scislac.deviantart.com/journal/10355866/ . Thanks again for passing on the excellent idea Kees.
Also, I will be resuming tutorial writing over the next couple weeks too... at the least, my tutorial for Clipping, Masking, and Patterns will be in 0.45. Hmmm... also, I think I will whip up a Filters tutorial as well since we will at least have blur (and if I'm lucky we can get blend modes in too). I will try to get these done ASAP for proofing and also for the translators.
Speaking of tutorials... oy... I still have the docbook XML files from the last release that I never committed (really horrible inaction on my part). I will commit those individually over the next couple days (as I'm sure there will be issues if I don't compare changes made since the last release).
