Hi-
We are looking for someone to teach a half-day course in using Inkscape for SVGOpen 2007. SVGOpen is an annual SVG conference, and this year, it is being held in Tokyo. The class would be the afternoon of September 4, 2007.
The teacher should be very familiar with Inkscape, and would ideally have some knowledge about the SVG format. This is not intended to be a design course, but it would be nice if the teacher has a good design sense, or even training in design. If the teacher is comfortable with other design tools, such as Illustrator, that might help in answering student questions. The teacher should speak adequate English, but a Japanese translator may be available.
Ohhh---alas that right around then is absolutely the *worst* time for me to be travelling! Theoretically, I should be utterly sleep deprived and in the throes of newborn baby-care.
(Otherwise, while I can't claim to be absolutely expert with Inkscape, i do have a solid background in Illustrator, familiarity with a handful of other vector design tools (and a solid background in raster tools as well), as well as having learned Japanese as a first language (it's not as good as my English, though!))
