Not built into Inkscape. If you're on Windows, there's a built in utility called Snipping Tool (Start > Programs > Accessories). Very easy to use!
Or in Inkscape, it's easy to use File menu > Export PNG Image to get screenshots. Just drag a rectangle around the part you want to show. Leave it selected when you open the Export PNG dialog.
In the Export PNG dialog, click the Selection button first. Then click Export As to choose where you want to save it, and with what name. Don't forget where you saved it. Then click Export button.
Now you can go to the place where you saved it, to find it :-)
All best, brynn

Hi All,
$ rpm -qa inkscape inkscape-0.48.4-15.el7.x86_64
I take it there is no "screen shot" utility built into Inkscape.
Just use GIMP?
Many thanks, -T
