Hello guys (and ladies) ,
:)

I have a few questions:
Are you planning to implement masking of vector/bitmap objects?

No idea, but it sounds like it would be a nice feature. Has anyone else
considered this?

It could be nice feature though. I've worked in Illustrator before I've changed win to linux.
It works like this:
any object (bitmap, shape, group) should be masked in simple shape.
If it would depend on mask-shape fill (white=transparent), it is the best.
But I think It's too hard to code this.

And partial kde-integration (file dialogs)? Gtk file-dialogs are terrible.

The next version of GTK+ addresses the file dialog issue, and will be
out very soon. I would like to voice my opinion regarding using KDE
integration (i.e. using only their dialogs), which is to please stay
away from it. Keep the app GTK+, or at least keep it as a configure
option (Which for me will turn into a nice little USE flag).

Ok, I noticed you prefer gnome over gtk, it's ok with new version of gtk.

And what about text frames with aligning?

Keep good work.

ps. I can't get a cvs access to build dev inkscape with kerning features.
