The first one is what I see in Inkscape. First, notice in thesmaller object where the filter looks a little better than on the larger one. (I mean the lavendar colored strokes with Raised Border filter). But mainly I'm curious about the difference between the Inkscape canvas and the Windows Viewer. See in the 2nd one, the filters are displayed in a much nicer way, at least imo. So I know that different viewers have different abilities and support different features. But it seems to me like Inkscape should be having the most ideal display. What can the reason for this be? I have not noticed this much of a difference in previous versions. Ooohh -- I just learned from a previous question about the dpi being different in 0.92. Could that explain this different display? Is there some other place besides Export PNG, where I need to change the dpi? Something in Inkscape Prefs maybe?
- What are your settings for the filter render quality in Inkscape? See Edit -> Preferences -> Render -> Effect Quality ? There's always a trade-off between being able to work fast, and being able to have an optimal preview. Good render quality slows Inkscape down. (I don't know what the default value is, but it's probably not 'best').
