Hi!
Just use "Edit->Select All" (Ctrl+A) then "File->Document Properties" (Ctrl+Shift+D) and click on "Fit page to selection". Voila!
All the best, Marc

For that I do my draw, then make a box around it (delete it later), and set the page to fit the selected rectangle. Then export as pdf/eps

I have several options:
1 - export as a large png and then include that: works, but it's not optimal (not scale-free, for instance)
2 - export as eps: somehow, I can't ever get the graphics to fit in the figure block that I create. The image is always way too big (i.e. it's not properly scaled to fit in).
3 - export as pdf: same problem as eps.
Would it help to define a page border or limits that exactly wraps the entire drawing? My drawings are usually larger than the page limits. If so, it would be great to have such a checkbox when exporting to pdf or eps: create page border to fit drawing.
Any help appreciated.
Albert
