Re: [Inkscape-user] save selections

I run another problem: I would like to save only a selection from svg. I try to copy it to clipboard, but another instance of inkscape does not find anything on clipboard.

Known problem, different instances do not share the clipboard.

When I select File/New, it seems paste something strange but not the selections.

This must work. Please submit a bug with full details, steps to reproduce and an example file.

Clearing unwanted object is not a solution, because it is an converted svg (with pstoedit), and inkscape could not select all objects (it freezes),

This is a bug too, please submit separately with the offending file.
