yes, in my experience the AppData folder is hidden by default on Windows. I'm on Windows 7 (32 bit) and it is hidden. The normal procedure I use is to browse to the location C:\Users\username and then explicitly type in the extra folder \AppData\ in the address, even though the folder is not visible. This will open the folder for the first time. Then you have two options. First option is to create a shortcut so you'll never have to do this again. Second option is that next time you browse to the location C:\Users\username, all you have to do is type in the backslash character '' in the address bar so that it says C:\Users\username. At this point the system will prompt you with a drop down box of possible locations, and one of the possible locations will be C:\Users\username\AppData because it will remember that you were here previously.
