One other question: I often find that when I have node snapping turned on, if I zoom *out*, edit a bit, and zoom back in, I sometimes find that the nodes are no longer aligned to gridpoints. Has anybody else noticed this, and if so is there some way to avoid it? It seems like zooming out ought to put you in a situation where your nodes are snapped to the same grid as before, just skipping certain points.
