But the text editing capabilities of Inkscape simply don't match those of "real" word processors (which suck at editing images).

For a presentation, I really don't want extensive text editing; I mostly want to show some figures and images and diagrams. I mean, given my spelling ability, embedded spell-checking would be nice, but that's a total pony.
