I suppose you are right about that in the long run. I did a search on LinkedIn specifically for 'Inkscape' and it wasn't used, then I checked the Inkscape social network admins list, and nothing had been listed for LinkedIn, so I built the group, published the entry on the list, and advertised to the user base that it was in operation.

 

I have submitted a request to Join the 'Friends of Inkscape' LinkedIn group, so I can talk to that group's manager. If he agrees, I can merge my members to his group, and assign admin responsibility to him on the social networks list.

 

I apologize for the confusion.
