I finally got a couple of books on SVG and started to use the XML Editor feature in Inkscape. I’ve been using Inkscape for a couple of years now, but never messed with the XML Editor.

I’m confused about one part of the XML Editor, however, and I wanted to ask about it.

I usually have my documents set up to work with the units in inches. However, I noticed the XML Editor was using a different unit value. Why is there a difference, and what unit is the editor using? I’d like to use the same units in my drawing as are displayed in the XML editor.
