In kprinter I have the option to use user-defined borders on the tab "Text", take a look there.
I have this option too; and made the borders very small. the effect is, that the bitmap becomes bigger than the original and doesn't fit in the page.it is the same, when in chose 'original pagesize'in kprinter, before it was '100% of the page'. I thougt it is a problem of the resolution, but it has no effect, when i choose 150 or 300 dpi. Which kind of printig do you prefer: Postscript operators or bitmap printing? With postscript the size is ok, but it changes the colors totally.
Your last sentence specifically seems to imply that it is NOT an inkscape problem. Me thinks you should isolate the problem first. Do you have backups of your Mandrake config files, esp. which packages were installed having what configuration?
i made the mandrake update like this: i put the new version in a diffrent partition, and /home is in another one. So the new version took the konfiguration of 10.1 from the home partition, like the kde konfiguration etc.. inkscape i use the same version as before: 0.41, or is there a newer mandrake package? But as i see, when i print from another programs like mcc the printing is ok. any ideas?
