I've installed Inkscape using FinkCommander for OS X and everything seemed to go quite smoothly. However, when I try to run Inkscape, I get the following:
:./inkscape Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig library is not correctly configured. You may need to edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information about fontconfig can be found in the fontconfig(3) manual page and on http://fontconfig.org
The following files exist on my system: /usr/X11R6/include/fontconfig/fcfreetype.h file:///usr/X11R6/include/fontconfig//usr/X11R6/include/fontconfig/fcprivate.h /usr/X11R6/include/fontconfig/fontconfig.h
But the file fonts.conf does not exist.
Do I have to create this file and configure it manually? If so, how? I've tried looking at the fontconfig manual but I couldn't find anything specific that could help me out. I'm running OS X 10.3.4 and the latest versions of Apple X11/SDK and Fink.
Thanks Matt
