Hi Hago,
You obviously didn't spot the layers dialogue in the toolbar at the
bottom of the screen. I only just discovered it myself! By the looks of
things you have to add/remove layers from the menubar (layer -> new
layer) but you can show/hide and lock layers from the dialogue. I was
reading the roadmap earlier today and it seems that layer improvements
and enhancements are currently being developed for the next release.
