I don't think it's a stupid question, I doubt it if there is real functionality for it in Inkscape. Because Inkscape is no CAD-software.
But, what you could try is: Effects --> Visualize Path --> Draw Handles This draws the handles at the nodes.
If necessary, you need to introduce an extra node to your bezier-path where you need the tangent.
