[Inkscape-user] Question about --verb

Howdy,

I'm trying to figure out --verb capability and usage, starting with creating a file.

my naive attempt $ inkscape --without-gui --verb FileNew=/tmp/test.svg --verb FileSave

fails, as does all variations I've tried on above.

- Can this be done? - Where should I look for --verb documentation? (I've only found fairly cursory material)
