I need to mark up the image with transparent boxes. I draw the boxes using the rectangle tool. However, I when I try to reselect them it gets very weird. Clicking on a rectangle actually selects a different rectangle, lower on the image than where the mouse is pointing.
Of course you can't select something you don't see (transparent) by clicking. Imagine how loudly you (or someone else) would complain if it were not the case :)
Sorry, they aren't completely transparent, only partially so. I can see them, but also the image behind them.
The other rectangle has a dotted outline (bounding box?) that is many times bigger than the rectangle itself.
Can't happen. The bounding box shows you the real size of the object. You're probably selecting not what you think you are. Or the object has a wide transparent/white stroke.
Actually, it is happening, exactly as I describe. But you're right, the rectangle had a 374 px stroke. Changing that to a small number fixes my problem, thanks :)
374 px stroke seems odd for a default. How do I change that?
