Glad to see that all of you agree upon the issue ;) it is healthy for the project. Nevermind with my mascot proposal then. My intention was to use the mascot on www rather, than having another msoffice-like clipper disturbing or fancy splashscreens extending inkscape load time.
As to 998 number, yes, it is our fireservice call number. This is going to change this year into 112 and I am going to update the pic.
I will gladly put the images on the wiki, but have to wait till the end of ther year. Hope the wiki can wait, or hope to put some other images I create meanwhile.
