Not known in 0.42. Known issues can be found in the bug tracker BTW.
Please also always provide
- version of inkscape you're using
0.42
- where it came from (source, autopackage, rpm, deb etc)

- version of your operating system
SuSE 9.3, gtk 2.6.4, Kernel 2.6.11

While printing, on console appears following

But: Same warnings appears with glabels, and here it works. Also, and additional empty page is printed in inkscape.
