Is there any way of attaching a line end-point to an object? When using inkskape to draw diagrams I would like to move a box and have the attached lines to stay connected to the box... Thank you, AS
You can't snap the end point to the object...not yet anyway, but you can manually move the end point whereever you want it. To have it stay connected to the box, you should group the items.
Select both objects. Object -> Group (Ctrl-G) Now, both objects will move together.

I do not want to group the entire objects, but just *one point* of the line with the box, not *the whole line* with the box. I guess this has not been implemented yet, has it? Thank you, AS

It's been worked on by Michael Wybrow, and will hopefully be ready for the next version.

Great! Any information about the expected approximate time for that release? Thank you, AS

Michael or Peter, can you report on the status of this? Particularly, can you address the question of what code can be integrated into inkscape at this point, to help with this need?
Thanks, Bryce
