I believe it should just work on Windows also, though I have not tried it.

Actually no, at least not for me. When I reboot into win98 my wacom works bad with windows Inkscape, it gets press/release signals maybe only 1/4 of the time, I have to press several times to register a click, and then press still more to release it. (So I use keryboard mostly, now that it's much easier than before.)
