Thanks, let's try it.
A few questions: There are almost 800 persons in the user list. Is this the list of subscribers to inkscape-user@lists.sourceforge.net? I doubt it is, as I haven't found myself;-) How is the forum related with the mailing list? Will all messages posted to the list appear on the forum, and/or vice versa, or are they independent?

No, this is the list of people registered on the website. As you can see there are already other forums.

Yes.
Andreas
I assume that only subscribers to the list are allowed to post on the forum?
The interface looks handy, and I like the ability to change the Skin.
I have set my list subscription to "vacancy" (which will reduce the amount of e-mails I receive daily) and will try to use only the forum from now on, which should be more convenient as I have two different computers with different e-mail accounts being checked on each of them.

Hi all,
I've been using the forum interface kindly provided by Andreas and find it quite handy. I can read and post from different computers regardless of the e-mail configuration on these.
Moreover, I've just realized that posting through the forum rather than through the mailing list has an added bonus: it saves the five line signature added at the end of each e-mail posted through the list: ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Do you grep through log files for problems? Stop! Download the new AJAX search engine that makes searching your log files as easy as surfing the web. DOWNLOAD SPLUNK! http://sel.as-us.falkag.net/sel?cmd=lnk&kid=103432&bid=230486&da...
To the mailing list maintainers: I understand you may want to acknowledge your sponsor, but couldn't you make this shorter?
