All,
I just created a document using inkscape to layout objects of which I known the position in real space. Because some of these positions are negative, I specified an offset in the origin of the grid so that the grid point (0,0) is not the bottom left corner of the document. So far so good. Once the whole layout has been created, I now would like to know the position of other objects on there (middle points and such). This position is given by the rulers although at the precision of the reading of the ruler. However, the other ways of getting positions (little box at the bottom right of the application window or boxes in one of the toolbars) give the position in the document's references ((0,0) at bottom left), not in the grid's.
Did I miss anything or is that a bug (or a feature that could possibly be configurable to offer alternatives)?
Cheers,
Fred
