Actually SVG does allow for proper CMYK, as does Inkscape. It is just that the export path we use (Cairo) does not support CMYK.

I was wondering if there is way to get this piece of software (moonshiner.sourceforge.net) to work with Inkscape esp in the "Save as" pdf dialogue? I agree, but CMYK is not covered in the svg standard.
