Hi,

While helping a friend start the install process on a Mac today, I checked out the wiki to find nothing there about the Mac process. So I wrote my own section, including the X11 installation.

Problem is, I don't have a Mac of my own, and I can't verify what I've written. I won't see my friend to finish the X11 part for several days, and even then I will only do one of the three alternatives for X11.

Can Mac users check it out http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/InstallHelp here and please make any corrections?

Can I encourage others to write entries there for different platforms, including the Autopackage method? If you've installed it before on a platform that isn't well explained, then please at least have a go. What a pity if people were turned off before even getting going!
