I've just started with inkscape. I have a document that I'm building in scribus which I want to illustrate with several SVGs.
I've generated the SVGs and they look fantastic. However, for use in the scribus document they have to be scaled down. This messes up the text, which doesn't seem to want to scale down. What's the practical solution?

There is a simple rule for cases you want us to help you - upload the file somewhere so we could take a look at the particular file (or a similar one) ;)

Okay, then this is a bug in Scribus's SVG importer. Could you please file a bug to http://bugs.scribus.net with both files attached?

What do you mean? The text messes up when scaled down in inkscape or in scribus? What method do you use exactly? If this is within inkscape then please report a bug to the tracker on sourceforge and upload the file with it. Text should be fully scalable.
