Hi, Sorry if this has already been dealt with but: I have a large svg file which I cannot open in Inkscape (v.0.40). My file is a large graph produced with graphviz (http://www.graphviz.org/), but inkscape seems to hang using 99% of the cpu when I try to open it. The same file opens in sodipodi 0.34, though admittedly it takes about
10s
to open. After opening sodipodi is using about 68% of memory, on my
512Mb
machine. Inkscape seems to stop using more memory after 55%, but it
never
opens. The svg file is about 5.1Mb.
What platform are you on?

Oh - sorry - Gentoo Linux, kernel 2.6.3, Gnome 2.8. gav.

Hmm, ok. I'm not sure what the attachment size limit is on SourceForge, but could you try opening a bug and attaching the file?
If the file's too big we can work something else out.

Hi, Well I opened a bug (1103400) but the attachment doesn't seem to have attached itself; maybe it's too big.
However, you can get it from here: http://www.gavinband.f2s.com/1236745up.svg

Hi, (sorry - I'm top-posting on my own message).
The bug I posted (1103400) seems to have disappeared from the bug tracker! What does that mean? Did I post it in the wrong way or something?
Thanks, gav.
