I know I can do this to export PNGs, but is there a way to export/save selected objects in other formats (like TIFF or EPS). It seems I can only export an entire document...

There is no export to TIFF yet, though export to EPS works and was even improved in 0.42. However you cannot export selected object as EPS yet.

OK, thanks! Exporting to EPS is probably more important, I can convert that to other formats (like CYMK Tiff) as needed.

OK, thanks! Exporting to EPS is probably more important, I can convert that to other formats (like CYMK Tiff) as needed.
There is an RFE for selection export to EPS btw
