Hi,
Just installed Sabayon Linux with a KDE desktop... I installed Inkscape 0.48. When I go to File --> Import... expecting to find import clip art... not there. Question: What to do to enable it...? (I pasted 'openclipart.org' in the import/export preferences, didn't help).
Thanks for any advice.
Henry
this option does not exist in Inkscape 0.48.4, on Windows, for reasons that I cannot remember. However it does exist in recent development builds. I am not familiar with how upgrades are done on Linux, but try going to http://inkscape.org/download/?lang=en to see if you can get a development version.

Thanks much Al,
I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me... (? :))
New to Sabayon (a version of Gentoo), but not Inkscape... So I will have to do some research.

P.,s., this is what I was going on from my first message on this here:

Open Clip Art Library
The command File ? icon Import From Open Clip Art Library opens a search dialog that connects to the Open Clip Art Library http://www.openclipart.org/ website, a source of free clip art. The dialog allows searching for drawings that match descriptive words. Previews of files are shown in a window on the right side of the dialog.
Import from Open Clip Art Library dialog. /Import From Open Clip Art Library/ dialog. An example of searching for a butterfly is shown.
You may have to set the server name (|openclipart.org|) in the /Import/Export/ section of the /Inkscape Preferences http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Customize-Preferences.html/ dialog. In the future, export to the library will also be supported.
