Hello,
The function "page-fit-to-selection" does not seem to work properly in version 1.2. (in German: "BEARBEITEN – Seitengröße auf Auswahlgröße") Can anyone confirm this?

this function appears to be working properly for me on Windows 10, Inkscape 1.3-dev (0727623f, 2022-05-28).
could you submit a bug report at: Issues · Inkscape / Inbox · GitLab https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues and attach a sample drawing that does not work properly?
