It is possible to incorporate the images loaded on a svg project to the svg file ? I need to copy all the images if I want to exchange the file to other people ?

i'd also appreciate at least an option to embed images on saving, as at the moment since i use images from one project to the next, i'm building up a large collection of projects i'm wary of deleting, as i'm never sure if an image will vanish from a different project!
on the other hand, i really really appreciate the current way of image linking as it *dramatically* cuts disk space, and i would rather have the current situation if it's an either-or.
making this an option when saving would be nice.

I am trying to reset the path of each file to local folder and the Inkscape doesn't change to this new folder. When I reopen the file the old path is shown.
If anybody could help me I would be glad.

Because this is about requesting a feature, not having implemented it ;)
It will be in Inkscape some time later. I logged it as a reminder for developers and recommend to do so to all users, because this is the only real way to make sure a request won't be forgotten.

This is a quite important feature to Inkscape. I hope someone could put their hands on it.

For a few releases there has been a perl script that could do this in the extensions directory. For 0.43 I have added a python script that does the same but is accessible from the "Effect" menu. If you aren't working with 0.43 you can download it from the link in this message: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=13699306
This script will embed jpeg and png images in the current selection or all jpeg and png images in the document if there is no selection.
